Awsome asked:
We have an online website business and have been selling via Google Checkout. Now we want to accept credit cards. (No Paypal.) In order to accept credit cards we need a merchant account, to have a merchant account our business needs to be registered.

I am the only owner of the business and we do not want to pay taxes, it is an online business anyways isn’t it? We still have to pay taxes, correct? What if we register in delaware?
Please help us. Thank you!

You can register in Delaware is you work from there, or have an office there.
Yes, you have to pay taxes, just like the rest of us. Online or not doesn’t enter into it.
Not sure what they mean by “registered”. A friend of mine, a self-employed person (no employees), has a merchant account for credit cards. It may be as simple as just giving them your retailer’s license. If you don’t have one, you need to contact your state to get one. It’s not a complicated process.
