Blogs - such as those provided by Wordpress or Blogger — are designed for content, not for selling.
To be able to use your blog into an ecommerce platform you need to have the capability to run scripts or a cgi-bin for example. Check with your blog provider if you can run:
- a shopping cart system
- a payment gateway system such as Authorize.net
You need these two things, particularly the payment gateway system before the payment will be processed by your merchant account.
Go with a traditional website, not a blog. The most you can do with a blog is to put in the Paypal code — which means you can’t use your merchant account. Blogs are not designed to be like a storefront-capable web page.
I would go with a website if you can. I recommend StartLogic~
BUT..I have all blogs and I was able to do this on one of my blogs. You need a shopping cart (which you can get from Paypal~ )
and of course a merchant account with them.
If you want to see how mine looks you can go here..
I have some cowboy luggage for sale. It was really easy for me to do and I’m still a newbie!
